Course Outline

Periodontics as a clinical science and implant dentistry, as a companion discipline, has made impressive advances in the last few decades. Both disciplines have progressed in knowledge, materials, and techniques. However, there remain questions that face practising dental care providers on a daily basis during routine patient care. The course will review those critical questions/scenarios and provide evidence-based answers to the most common questions and situations.

Course Objectives

By the end of the end of the course, participants will be able to provide evidence-based answers to the most common questions and clinical scenarios routinely asked in dental offices that provide periodontology and/or dental implantology services. Topics include:

• Questions and answers in aetiology, diagnosis, and prognosis
• Questions and answers in non-surgical therapy
• Questions and answers in different periodontal procedures/surgeries
• Questions and answers in post-surgical healing/management and complications.
• Questions and answers in periodontal maintenance therapy.
