Course Outline

The course is designed to update clinicians on the current evidence for effectively bonding resin composites and resin cements to enamel, dentin, and ceramics. The advantages and limitations of current adhesives will be discussed, including how to avoid incompatibility issues with resin cement, how to properly prepare ceramic surfaces for bonding to resin cements, and how to cement fiber posts, among several other clinical procedures. The scientific evidence will be introduced as well as clinical cases to illustrate and support the rationale for the best clinical practice

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify the best evidence-based procedures, techniques and materials to bond to several substrates in dentistry. Topics include:

• Adhesive systems
• Bonding to enamel and dentin
• Resin composites and resin cements
